In progress the compact G.I.S. substation of Burunga in Panama

Izharia Ingeniería designs and supervises the construction of the first substation with G.I.S. technology of 230 KV in Panama.

DESIGN OF TWO 230 KV SUBSTATIONS WITH G.I.S. TECHNOLOGY WITH TRANSFORMATION TO 34.5 AND 13.8 KV IN BURUNGA, PANAMA.

Izharia Ingeniería has carried out for its client GNFe Panamá the detailed engineering project involving electromechanical installation, civil engineering and protections & control engineering for the new Burunga Substation, which will guarantee coverage of demand and enhance the quality of service in West Panama for the coming years, especially in sectors such as, Nuevo Chorrillo, Nuevo Emperador, Arraiján Cabecera, 7 de Septiembre, Barriada 2000 and Burunga, among other surrounding areas.

This substation is the first substation in Panama with G.I.S. technology and it’s divided into two substations; one operated by ETESA and the other operated by EDEMET. The latter it’s a transformer substation 230/34.15/13.8 kV expandable with new transformers 230/115 kV in the near future.

Once the execution of constructions has started, Izharia Ingeniería is in charge of the follow-up and auditing of the project.
